Summer News Update

After a successful series of concerts in celebration of the

Coronation of King Charles III, the band took a short break

from public appearances in order to refresh and renew their

repertoire. The new programme was given its  first run out to

a very appreciative audience at Riddings Park Community Centre

on Sunday 30th July. This was the bands debut appearance there,

and they were delighted to receive an invite to perform again at

this wonderful venue later in the year.

Meanwhile Dronfield and Lowedges Community band

visited Weston Park in Sheffield to play in their beautiful

Victorian bandstand. Whilst the weather didn't quite

cooperate, the programme, including favourites from

Walt Disney and Pop classics was well received by an

audience, determined not to the let the weather

dampen their spirits! A special mention to the

bands principal Cornet player, Imogen

Wright for her fantastic rendition of 'I See the Light'.

All bands will now be working hard preparing for upcoming Autumn concerts. Keep an eye on our engagements for more details.
