DBO launches Brass Academy!

After months in the planning, we are delighted to officially announce the launch of Dronfield Band Organisation's, 'Brass Academy'.  The academy is run by players of the contesting band, and is open to anyone who wishes to learn a brass instrument, with sessions running in parallel with our community band; Sunday's at 6pm. 

Our first intake have made amazing progress in just 8 weeks, and performed their first mini concert alongside our Community Band on Sunday, and we can't wait to welcome more into the New Year.

Chairman of DBO, Ady Wood said, "it is vital we encourage young people to get involved in making music to ensure the survival of bands and organisations like ours into the future. The young players have had a great time learning together, and we're excited to watch them progress through the organisation in the future."
