Sarah Billard- MD- Community Band

Sarah was approached to conduct Dronfield and Lowedges Community Band in December 2018 and took up the post in the New Year of 2019.

Sarah studied conducting at the University of Huddersfield and has worked with various ensembles during this time.

 

She has worked at Rotherham Music for several years, where she conducted Rotherham Schools Brass Band, the Young Sinfonia and Ready Steady Bow! 

​

Outside of conducting, Sarah is a Tuba player and has played with several top bands in the UK. In 2017, Sarah competed at the Royal Albert Hall with the City of Bradford Brass Band in the National Brass Band Championships.
